It was based on the novel by Anurag Pathak, it chronicles the journey of Manoj Kumar Sharma from Chambal, who despite being a 12th drop out sets out to prepare for the UPSC (Union Public Commission) exam which is considered one of the toughest in India.
One of the best things about the movie was the direction. Chopra’s direction brought back the magic of Munna Bhai MBBS, the way he directed the film encapsulated the very magic of the film.
As a director, he played with the story and characters, he was able to make the movie both aesthetically pleasing and emotionally relatable, hence making the film more beautiful.

Another, very striking feature of the film was its unique storyline.
The storyline revolved around a boy who came from a lower class but with high spirits to clear the UPSC exam. As a reader, this might look like a very basic storyline.
But, the storyline doesn’t stop there, Manoj who was played by Vikrant Massey, not only cleared the UPSC but he went through a series of struggles, and personal and financial battles that led him to victory.
This storyline was very strong and it represented a very large segment of the society that related to it.

Vikrant Massey who plays the lead role of Manoj, delivers an exceptional; performance.
Vikrant Massey handles a demanding role and character arc with great aplomb. He does justice to the character at every turn, whether he’s agitated, helpless, or determined to turn the tide in his favor.
Furthermore, Priyanshee Chatterjee shines in his brief role as a DCP who is his real inspiration. Moreover, Vikrant was able to show us the real feelings of motivation, struggle, hard work, loss, and triumph.
Besides that, another power-packed performance was by Medha Shanker who played the role of Shraddha. Who was one of the motivating factors for Manoj in the film.
Another, power-packed performance by Anshumann Pushkar, who without a doubt was one of the most inspiring actors in the film. He very well played the role of a teacher who inspired many through his acting and grit.
4. Reliability
The success of 12 fails lies in the fact that it is a relatable movie.
A lot of movies offer greatness and good performance along with an exhilarating storyline, but not a lot of movies offer relatability. 12 fail is indeed, without a doubt one of the most relatable
12 fail represents a large majority of people not just in India but all over the world. It represents a sector of society that comes from a poor financial background but with hopes to achieve big. This movie represents a segment of society that not only lobe in poor conditions but has to work harder than normal people.
Furthermore, this move also represents a segment of the people, who are not fluent in English.

Lastly, this movie was one of the most inspiring movies of 2023.
12 Fail was able to inspire the masses, especially the younger generation. This move very well explained the struggle of becoming a UPSC aspirant and qualifier.
Furthermore, it was an inspiration to all those who come from a lower class and gave them hope to achieve bigger things.
