Ahmed Ali Butt’s notion was that Babar Azam showcased his fitness as more for the likes rather than genuine fitness and performance. He wasn’t happy with the happy and took over to his Instagram where he remarked “Instead of focusing on the Gym, Babar Azam should apologise to the country for the team’s poor performance on the field and a clarification.”
Ahmed Ali Butt further added that “If he has any sense of responsibility, then he should feel ashamed.” Alongside this, in some very harsh words, Ahmed Ali Butt said “Not my captain.”
Now, that in our opinion was very harsh and brutal. Many people sided with Ahmed Ali Butt as well as many were against his harsh remarks.
Babar Azam And Horrible World Cup Performance
It is no surprise that this year for Pakistani cricket was extremely disappointing. While many had high hopes for the Pakistani cricket team, they were equally disappointed with the team’s horrible and below-the-belt performance.
The World Cup started with the disappointed team USA who were entering the cricket field for the first time. The loss was extremely disappointing. The nation had high hopes with the team in the Pakistan Vs India match however, the Pakistani team was also disappointed with that where they started off well but then failed to maintain their performance eventually leading to a gripping loss. The nation was in tatters and what was more disappointing was the early departure of the team from the World Cup.
While we saw Pakistan coming back home early, India however stayed on the field and won the World Cup 2024 with an exceptional performance.
Was Ahmed Ali Butt’s Criticsim Justified?
While some were against his harsh statements many were siding with his statement. The reaction from the public was very swift and very polarised where Babar Azam fans were siding with the capatoin saying that sharing one’s routine is positive and that there is nothing wrong with that.
