Recently, news about animal cruelty resurfaced on social media where we saw a man cutting off a camel’s leg. This news spread like wildfire on social media where many social media users were discussing why this cruelty took place. Here is more to the gruesome news.
Man Mutilated Camel’s Leg Over Land Dispute
A man, probably a tribal chief mutilated a camel’s leg over the fact that the camel came over the land where which infuriated the tribal chief and made him chop the leg of the innocent camel. The man along with his five servants cut the leg off of the camel as it entered the field for fodder. The incident however took place in Mund Jamaroa which is a small village in Sindh.
He later showed a video of the mutilated leg of the camel where he was holding the leg of the camel and this video garnered a lot of online hate and attention leading it to become viral within seconds.
Arresting The Landlord
The landlord and the tribal chief were later arrested along with his servants and he was taken to jail. The case was against him and he was accused of mutilating the leg of the innocent camel. The camel’s owner who was the peasant, didn’t contact the police but was contacted by the authorities after the matter came to light.
Social Media Outrage
It was after some hours when the matter was bright to light and many people on social media started reacting to the video which was surfacing. Netizens were infuriated and extremely angry whereas many demanded justice for the camel and many accused the archaic tribal culture for this.
While there was a lot of hue and cry on social media, this grabbed the attention of political leaders who arranged a prosthetic leg from Dubai. The camel was not only rescued by the animal fighters but was also provided with a prosthetic leg immediately.
Another Man Chopped Off Donkey’s Ears
It was after a few days when another news surfaced on social media where we saw how a man cut off the ears of a donkey. According to the FIR, the main incident was filed after 14 days which revealed that a farmer Tanveer Hussain Doneky went missing as he let his donkey loose and upon returning he saw that his ears were cut off.
Upon asking it was revealed that it was someone from his own family who cut the ears. This story is another one in the never-ending list of animal cruelty.

Cases like these have surfaced on social media where we see all these things happening quite often and the main question that we all need to ask is are we obsessed with animal cruelty? Well, the main answer to this question is yes.
Pakistan stands as one of the many countries in the world where animal cruelty are not treated right and fairly and cases like these are a testament to it. But the main question is how can we fix it. How long will it take us to realise that animal cruelty are also sentient beings with emotions?
