The Lahore police earlier arrested Imran Riaz Khan and realised him now on Friday after a local court discharged him from a fresh case in which he was arrested a day ago. This is the third time that the police have arrested him and we wonder what makes him come back to the cops over and over again. Why is the police force so obsessed with Imran Riaz Khan?

Recently, Imran Riaz Khan was arrested again at Allama Iqbal International Airport late on Tuesday night in a case of monetary fraud. Imran Riaz Khan was arrested in an ihram as it was reported that he was going for the holy pilgrimage to Saudia Arabia but his plan was dismissed by the police as they arrested him from the airport while he was all set to leave for the Hajj.
Later, the prosecutor said that the anchor and journalist had borrowed 0.25 billion rupees from the complaint but seems like he never returned that money. After hearing both sides, the judicial magistrate Muhammad Kamran reserved the verdict and granted police a one-day physical for Imran Riaz Khan.
After this, the anchor person and journalist were later discharged from the case by the judge.
Imran Riaz Khan And The Endless Cases

Imran Riaz Khan was later arrested again outside the court in a separate case concerning interference with police, which was registered at the Sarwar Road police station and said he had damaged a barrier near Lahore airport.
Imran Riaz Khan was later presented whereas the two counsels representing him were advocates Mian Ali Ashfaq and Rana Maroof. The prosecution sought Riaz’s physical remand of 10 days “on the ground that accused persons are to be arrested” based on the anchor person pointing them out.
Again, as most predicted, he was released after the judge heard both sides. A copy was later given in which it was mentioned that ” there was absolutely nothing on record that suggested the accused was driving a vehicle at the time of alleged occurrence.”
The judge further added that “No evidence of any sort was suggested that Imran Riaz Khan used any assault or criminal force to deter a public servant from the discharge of his duties.”
All these things and with evidence being “deficient” Imran Riaz Khan was late released and therefore there was nothing solid against him.
Is This The First Time?
When we talk about Imran Riaz Khan, then the list of his arrests and rearrests is infinite. Imran Riaz Khan was arrested on the 9 May cases and the violent protest that broke out in the country. It was reported that he was taken to Cantt police and Sialkot Police Station where he was kept for a long time. He was later released in September and as many of us saw, his health deteriorated exponentially.
Furthermore, earlier this year he was arrested again in a graft case about the contract of Dhabi Lake in Chakwal and was later granted bail by a special court.
Why Is The Police So Obsessed With Imran Riaz Khan?
Now, that’s very interesting in our opinion. Why do we see the Imran Riaz Khan getting arrested now and then? Well, the main reason that we may think of is that he is blunt and straightforward towards this regime.
His unwavering support for Imran Khan is also a primary reason why he is arrested over and over again. Earlier, he made many statements against the regime and in support of Imran Khan and this probably makes him the police favourite (no pun intended)
