Finally, the day we all have been waiting for is here. Karachi Stadium is set to host the PSL final. This year’s PSL was intense yet one of the most exciting ones. We witnessed how all the teams almost went head-to-head with each other and now with the PSL final. we are beyond excited. Multan Sultans outdid themselves this year. As we approach near the PSL final it is hard to forgo the efforts rendered by the entire team. While Multan Sultan was exceptional, Islamabad United was just over the top. While we loved Iftikhar in Multan Sultan’s, we loved Shadab and his squad in Islamabad United. As we watch our favourites all geared up for the finale, we are so ready for them to come on the field for the last time.
PSL 2024 Recap
For the most part, the pattern repeated itself as we watched Multan Sultan winning consecutively. But it was Shadab who put his act together with his team. Their performance in the last four matches was phenomenal.
What we saw for the most part was how both teams ironed out their weaknesses. The United have been crazy with their energy, and Multan Sultans have been very consistent with their performance. Their overall wins and winning streak is something that has gotten them a position like no other.
Multan Sultan who qualified for the final after beating Peshawar Zalmi in the qualifier, will be playing their fourth consecutive final. They were crowned champions in the 2021 edition and finished as runner-up in the subsequent two editions wherein Lahore Qalandars clinched two back-to-back titles.
After finishing third on the table, United beat Quetta Gladiators and Peshawar Zalmi in the two eliminators to earn the coveted berth in the final. This will be two-time champions United’s first final since 2018- when they last won the HBL PSL title.
In the follow-up, Multan Sultan scored 14 points after winning seven out of 10 games. As we see, united finished with five wins, whereas their home game against Lahore Qalanders was washed out. In the PSL final, we are excited to see who will win in the end, but we are more excited in the PSL final is how United will perform in the end.

Shadab Khan said ” I am proud of my team for standing tall in crucial situations and getting through to the final of the PSL after the long hiatus of five years. This is what was intended while assembling the squad and all the makers have done very well.
On the other hand, Rizwan has also extended his heartfelt congratulations in a note where he said, ” I am very proud of the way my team has played in the tournament. Our boys have displayed the true spirit of warrior throughout the tournament. Whenever we felt behind, our boys stepped up through bold and fearless approach.”
As we watch both teams gearing up for the PSL final, it is extremely hard to tell which one will in the end.
