In a turn of events, a software engineer killed his CEO over unpaid salary in Karachi. The matter was disclosed when the software engineer claimed that he stabbed the CEO because he wasn’t paying him his salary.

What Happened?
A tragic and horrific incident occurred in Karachi where a software engineer stabbed his CEO who was the CEO of Euro Tech Software House. The CEO, named Naveed was brutally murdered after his employee, Shoaib who was a software engineer stabbed him.
The incident took place in the evening when Shoaib, who was working under him as a software engineer went to him for the matter of his salary which according to him was not given to him for many months. In a heated argument between both the CEO and the software engineer and altercation, Shoaib attacked the company’s CEO and stabbed him several times causing him many injuries.
Shoaib stabbed him with a sharp weapon severely injuring him. To save his life, Naveed fled the office and rushed to the basement of the building where he collapsed because of many injuries. After this, the software engineer, Naveed stayed in the office where he was later arrested by the police.
The complaint was lodged against Naveed by the victim’s brother, Imtiaz.
The Unpaid Salary Issue
Upon asking the software engineer Shoaib, as to why he tried to murder his CEO and boss he stated that Naveed has not given his due salary for three months. He further stated that he was working tirelessly but was not given his salary for three months.
He also added that he asked the CEO to give him his salary on immediate grounds as his father was ill but even that was not granted by the CEO. The police however swiftly responded and arrested the software engineer. Tariq Mehmood who was the Station House Officer (SHO) of Tipu Sultan police station stated that Shoaib had confessed to his crime. They also added that Shoib was very depressed because he was not paid timely and upon asking for his salary he was denied several times.
It was also confirmed by the police that the killing did not appear to be premeditated rather the guilty, Shoaib got the weapon from the office rather than bringing it from his house or somewhere else.
Investigations And Proceedings
In the end, the police have also reported that the software engineer, Naveed was employed for the past nine months on a salary of 150,000 per month. However, that was not given to him for the past three months. He had been demanding his overdue salary for the past three months and upon not giving Shoaib, Shoiab resorted to physical violence in the end which eventually killed Naveed.
