It is a poignant reminder to celebrate the achievements, struggles, resilience and determination of women from all across the globe. In this blog, we’ll list ten revolutionary women of Pakistan, these revolutionary women of Pakistan are a beacon of hope for all of us and have been there to inspire millions.
1. Arfa Karim: Revolutionary Women Of Pakistan
Starting the list of revolutionary women of Pakistan, we have Arfa Karim with us, the youngest Microsoft professional. As a nine-year-old certified Microsoft professional, she was the first woman to accomplish that title. Arfa Karim always dreamed of giving back to her country. She was indeed one of the revolutionary women of Pakistan as she always had high hopes and a vision to create Silicon Valley in Pakistan.

Another on the list of revolutionary women of Pakistan is none other than Sharmeen Obaid Chinoy. Sharmeen always had a knack for creativity and art. With a keen sense of observation, she always wanted to represent the lower segment of our society. It was back in 2012 when she released her documentary “Saving Faces” which then went on to win an Oscar. Hence, she became the first woman to achieve that.
She won her second Oscar for her project “A Girl in the River: The Price of Forgiveness”. Right now she is the recipient of seven Emmys, two Academy Awards and a Knight International Journalism award. She was also the co-chair of the World Economic Forum.
3. Ayesha Malik
Another one in our list of revolutionary women of Pakistan, Pakistan swore its first female court judge, Ayesha Malik. As a Supreme Court judge, she made some groundbreaking changes in the judicial system, where she abolished the two-finger test for virginity that was previously performed on victims who have experienced sexual violence.
4. Perniya Khan
Moving on, we have Perniya Khan on our list of revolutionary women of Pakistan who a young tennis players. As a young tennis champion, she has claimed many awards to her name. Furthermore, the masterful WAPDA player claimed the title by defeating former National Champion Asiya Sherjeel, also from WAPDA, in a thrilling 4-3 final.
5. Dr Zubaida Sirang
An eye surgeon from Chitral who made it internationally is another one to be on our list of revolutionary women of Pakistan. Dr Zuabaida Sirang made headlines for becoming the first ever Pakistani author to have her work featured on the prestigious book authority list. Furthermore, her book “Optics Made Easy: The Last Review of Clinical Optics”.
6. Sana Mir
Another one on our list of revolutionary women of Pakistan is Sana Mir who has been the face of women’s cricket in Pakistan for many years. Mir took the top spot in the ODI rankings in 2018. She has played 226 international matches including 137 as the captain. Furthermore, she has been the most successful spinner in Pakistan.
7. Dr. Sarah Ali
Dr Sarah Ali is another one on our list of revolutionary women in Pakistan. She is a Pakistani aerospace engineer and the world’s first contrail-free aircraft engine to reduce aviation-induced warming. Truly an inspiring figure.
8. Laraib Atta
Lairab Atta has to be another one on our list of Revolutionary women of Pakistan, an Oscar and BAFTA nominee for her visual effects, Laraib is a young professional who works in the visual effects industry. This Hollywood VFX artist is known for her remarkable work in the X-men: Days of Future Past, Godzilla and Chronicles of Narnia.
9. Arooj Aftab
The next on our list is Arooj Aftab who is again another young artist who won the first Grammy for Pakistan and performed at Coachella.
10. Sana Amanat
Lastly, on our list , we have Sana Amanat. She is a famous cartoon artist and has worked on poignant projects like Ms Marvel.
