The year 1952 witnessed the entry of Imran Ahmed Khan Niazi. Imran Khan was the only son of four sisters. He was also born into an upper-middle-class family, where his father was a civil engineer and his mother was a housewife. Long settled in Mianwali in northwestern Punjab, his paternal side of the family is of Pashto descent.

As a cricketer, Imran Khan started his career in England. He played English country cricket for Worcestershire. During this time, he played multiple matches and represented many teams
At the height of his career peak, in 1982, the thirty-year-old took over captaincy of the Pakistan cricket team from Javed Miandad. Subsequently, as a captain Khan played 48 matches of which 14 were won by Pakistan. Besides this, till this day, he is termed as the best captain. In 1992, he led Pakistan to victory in the 1992 World Cup.

He then went on to establish PTI in 1996. He also ran for a seat in the National Assembly of Pakistan in the 1997 Pakistani general election as a candidate of PTI from two constituencies.
