We were always taught that family is everything. It is above everything in the world but for most of us, family can be the biggest curse as well. For many people, family isn’t that supportive. It is something that most of us struggle with. Hazardous Parenting is something that can be a huge nightmare for so many people. But before we start, what is toxic parenting?

Toxic parenting is a medical term or a clearly defined concept. When people discuss toxic parents, they are typically describing parents who consistently behave in ways that cause guilt, fear, and obligation in their children. Their actions aren’t isolated events, but patterns of behavior that negatively shape their child and behavior.
Hazardous Parenting is extremely harmful and dangerous as it destroys a child’s life. With so many parents trying to do the best for a child, a toxic parent is someone who intends to do good but their actions are always the opposite.
Signs of Toxic Parenting
There are many signs of a toxic parent or toxic parenting. Here are a few that you can see through;
- Hazardous Parenting includes physical, mental, and emotional abuse
- They are extremely strict
- They are authotranian
- They don’t want their children to have friends
- They are manipulative
- They use love as a weapon
- Furthermore, they invalidate their child’s feelings.
- They are self-centred
- They blame everyone else.
These are some of the most prominent and apparent signs of toxic parenting. A toxic parent is someone who immediately shifts the blame upon their children. A toxic parent is someone who takes violence as his last refuge. A toxic parent is also someone, who doesn’t admit their mistakes when they are wrong. It so happens, as time passes by.
We have always heard that a parent is responsible for building a generation, but what happens when the same parent demeans and discourages their children
Effects Of Harmful Parenting
There are many consequences and aftereffects of toxic parenting. Families who have toxic parents or a toxic parent, suffer the most. Children who are raised under Hazardous Parenting are the ones who struggle the most with toxic behaviour patterns. Furthermore, children who struggle with toxic parenting also have low self-esteem, confidence issues and bad mental health. These children seem to struggle the most with making friends. Moreover, they struggle the most with their academics.
If one lives in such harmful and adverse conditions where they are constantly scrutinised and looked down upon, imagine how badly it will affect their overall personality. Imagine how unloved and insecure they will feel. This happens commonly in desi-toxic homes where children are mostly looked down on. This can lead to many problems in the household where children are constantly looked under and underappreciated.
This can also lead them to become heavily reliant on other things in their life, where they might try to find validation from other things. These things can be very bad and hazardous, this might include drugs and other things.
According to many statistics, people who are born into a toxic household, tend to live a life full of problems and will become people who are bad for society. Many people who become dangerous criminals are the ones who were brought up in a household where they are looked down upon.
