UAE Visa Rules
The Federal Authority for Identity, Citizenship, Customs, and Ports Security (ICP) has classified a group of administrative violations concerning the Emirates ID card, residency services, and foreigners’ affairs in Abu Dhabi.
As per the ICP, fines range from Dh20 to Dh20,000, contingent upon the nature of the violation. An ICP source, who provided details on the infractions listed on the website, stated that granting UAE Visa Rules or entry permits to a dormant business incurs a fine of Dh20,000.
ICP has classified infractions related to Emirates ID, residence services, and foreigners’ affairs into 14 categories. Among these categories are:

Three infractions amount to a total of Dh5,000.
- Preventing ICP personnel from performing their duties
- Refusing to collaborate with them
- Failing to reimburse ICP for services provided by the client
Six different kinds of infractions result in a Dh500 fine each.
- An organization provides the ICP passport officer with information about an individual who isn’t an authorized representative of the organization.
- Using e-dirham to submit transactions that are not associated with the company the representative represents.
- The representative’s card expires.
- The representative fails to display their card when submitting transactions.
- Disregarding the work system of the service centres.
- Individuals fail to abide by the pledge made to the ICP.
Additional penalties are imposed.
- Giving false information may result in a Dh3,000 fine for the individual.
- Users will incur a Dh100 fine for incorrectly printed applications.
- Failure to renew the Emirates ID card within 30 days of its expiration date will result in a punishment of Dh20 per day, up to a maximum of Dh1,000.
EXEMPTIONS
UAE Visa Rules: According to the ICP’s website and social media accounts, individuals in the following categories are exempt from late fees associated with the Emirates ID card:
Individuals whose card’s validity expired after their departure from the UAE Visa Rules and who spent more than three months abroad. As per the ICP, fines range from Dh20 to Dh20,000, contingent upon the nature of the violation. An ICP source, who provided details on the infractions listed on the website, stated that granting UAE Visa Rules or entry permits to a dormant business incurs a fine of Dh20,000.
Individuals whose passports have been seized due to pending cases or whose identity cards have expired after deportation following a court order, administrative decision, or judicial ruling; can be substantiated by a letter or receipt from the relevant authorities indicating the suspension of their pending cases or deportation.
Individuals who do not possess an identity card.
