Arrest Warrant Issued for KP CM-Designate Ali Amin Gandapur
In a surprising turn of events, Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) finds itself in a challenging situation. Ali Amin Gandapur, the former Minister of Kashmir Affairs and the Chief Minister-designate of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, holds a pivotal position in PTI Leadership. Azad Kashmir Election Commission has issued an arrest warrant for the nominated Chief Minister of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Ali Amin Gandapur.
Reason Behind PTI Leader Arrest Warrant
The Azad Jammu & Kashmir Election Commission has taken action by issuing an arrest warrant for Ali Amin Gandapur.
The warrant stated that the PTI leader disrespected the Azad Jammu and Kashmir Election Commission. Additionally, it asserted that the leader had violated the code of conduct during the Azad Kashmir general election in 2021.
A hearing was held on the application. The Election Commission issued a summons to Gandapur, directing his appearance, which he failed to comply with despite the order. In response, the Election Commission has instructed the Deputy Commissioner of Dera Ismail Khan to execute an arrest warrant for Gandapur.
Lawyer Raja Zulqarnain initiated the legal complaint against Gandapur during the 2021 election.
PTI founder Named Ali Amin Gandapur as KPK CM
Gandapur secured victories in NA-44, Dera Ismail Khan-I, and PK-113 during the general elections on February 8.
It is important to highlight that Gandapur defeated Fazl-ur-Rehman in the National Assembly constituency.
On February 13 , Imran Khan named Ali Amin Gandapur as Khyber Pakhtunkhwa (KP) CM. The Former prime minister shared this news while talking to the media at his trial in Adiala jail.
”I have named Ali Amin Gandapur as Khyber Pakhtunkhwa CM, while no consensus on the premier’s name yet,” quoted the founder of Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI).
Gandapur has been a member of Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf since 2013. His entry into politics began with his election to the Provincial Assembly of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa.
Gandapur’s Legal Troubles
The outspoken PTI leader faced a ban on participating in rallies and election-related events in AJK. The election commission took this action after coming to know Gandapur’s inappropriate comments in speeches during various public gatherings in AJK.
The AJK Election Commission decided to take action because they were concerned that the Gandapur’s actions were causing problems with law and order. Additionally, they were worried that these actions could lead to a situation where people’s lives might be in danger.
