As we are drawn near to Ramadan, we are excited for the holy month. Amidst this excitement, there is a looming threat for the gas shortage in Ramadan. The gas shortage in Ramadan has always been a problem and it is something that people have been experiencing for the past few years.
Earlier, it was a problem in the northern parts of the countries. It was quite prevalent in Balochistan but as we move towards the southern regions we see how adversely it is affecting the entire county.

Announcement Of Schedule
The Sui Southern Gas (SSGC) has announced the schedule for the holy month of Ramadan. As the gas shortage in Ramadan prevails, here is what the schedule looks like.
According to SSGC, the gas will be available around 3.00 am to 9.00 am (Sahar) and 3.00 to 10.00 pm (Iftar). Furthermore, the availability of gas will be for only 13 hours in Balochistan and Sindh. The SSGC has also addressed how gas shortage in Ramadan has always been a problem, so to combat the shortage of gas and electricity in Ramadan, the SSGC has announced uninterrupted availability for people.
The chief minister of Sindh has further directed the electricity distribution companies not to carry out electricity loadings during sehar and iftar timings. He moreover, directed K-electric, HESCO, and SEPCO to maintain electricity throughout the month of Ramadan.
As far as the timings of gas are concerned in Punjab, we can see how Punjab will also be affected in most parts and regions. We can see how the gas invalidity will effect the masses this time as well. So, therefore, it is important to prepare before hand. In Punjab it is predicted that the timings will take place from 5 in the morning to 9. Then the same timings will take place in Iftar.
Tips For Gas Shortage In Ramadan
Since most of us have always experienced gas shortages, it has been excruciatingly painful. There are many ways in which we can combat the ongoing gas shortage. The gas shortage particularly in Ramadan will disturb and bother most of us, but with these tips and tricks, we can move on towards a better way.
But here are ways to combat the excessive gas shortage during Ramadan;
- make sure to store food
- prepare your iftar before the gas goes out
- In case of cold weather, store in hot water
- try preparing for dishes that take more time before the gas goes out.
- The best way to prepare for gas shortage is also to understand that the more we rely on frozen foods, the better it is. So, therefore, make sure that while you are extra cautious of the timings of gas shortage, you also manage to freeze foods. Now, this might include freezing chicken items that might be used in many recipes. You can also opt for fresh fruits and can make them puree and freeze them. This will help you greatly in Ramadan and especially in summer.
