Is This The First Time?
As much as we cover news like this, it is sad that there will probably never be a day when we won’t cover tragic news like this. To answer this question, no this isn’t the first time.
Earlier, we saw examples of Qandeel Baloch her brother brutally murdered over honour killing. We also saw examples where TV actresses are constantly slut shamed and threatened for their apparent career choices.
The Pushto actress who was murdered, wasn’t just brutally murdered but it also screams at the atrocities that are committed that are committed against women daily.
This also speaks as to why our country has become a hub where women are constantly harassed and in unfortunate cases murdered for their career choices. Examples like Khushboo and Qandeel Baloch are a reminder of where we stand as a nation when it comes to our women.
