Lux style awards are one of the most famous and anticipated award shows of the year. As we see it every year, we are presented with new designs and fashion ideas that sometimes do not sit with us. Furthermore, every year the awards show comprises young emerging talent that is given the limelight. As we see Lux Style awards this year, we patiently awaited this year’s awards and to our surprise and disappointment we were left almost shocked by the horrendous designs and clothes worn this year.
From the clothes to the dressing sense, everything was almost painful to watch.

Many netizens said that ironically the most famous lux style awards is the same show where most people from the industry don’t know what to wear. From Alizeh Shah’s horrendous fur cape to the male models who were almost dressed as the opposite gender, what was happening?
Furthermore, this year even the male celebrities didn’t style up well. The designers were as if on a respite. As we looked deep into it, we saw how other celebrities dressed the same way. There was no sense of design and the silhouette most celebs were wearing was extremely cheap.

As the pictures started pouring in, we saw how so many netizens questioned whether we had our own identity or not. Most celebrities were seen wearing clothes that were a replica of what most Western celebs wear. There was no sense of identity and we really couldn’t find any element of Pakistan in it.
Furthermore, many users were extremely unhappy with how revealing and exposing the clothes were. A famous social media celebrity, Mishi Khan raised her concern as she asked why are designers adamant about making boys look like girls and girls look like boys.
This question was raised by many people as most were unhappy with how the show turned out.

Nonetheless, some celebrities pulled through the event and showcased to us what real style is. Hania Amir won the award for the most stylish award of the year where she raised her voice for the people of Palestine. Furthermore, she was dressed by Nomi Ansari in Palestinian-themed suit pants which aligned with the cause she was standing for.
Furthermore, Sheroz Sabzwari won the award for the most stylish male actor on television. Fahad Mustafa won the award for the most stylish male actor in a film while Kiran Malik took the lux style awards for the most stylish female actor in a film.
In the sports category, we saw Shoaib Malik taking the lead and for the most stylish Performer, we saw Faris Shafi along with Asim Azhar take the lux style awards.
Other major awards were also included including the best designer where we saw Fahad Hussayn winning the category. Sona Rafique won the award for the most stylish content creator.
The Rising Star of the Year award was given to none other than the Manto who won not only the award but also our hearts with their collection. Manto came up with unique and different ideas with their clothing and ever since they launched their collection, they have been making waves with it.
For Fashion stylist of the year, we saw Mamoon Tariq who is famous for styling so many celebs. For retail brands, we saw Khaadi taking the lead once again.
